Race number 8 finally started at 1415 after two aborted starts. The PRO lengthened the line and used the Zulu flag for the third attempt and all boats started properly.

The wind is approximately 020 - 025 degrees at 14 knots. It is anticipated that the warning signal for race 7 will be at 1200 as scheduled.
It appears that the battery problem has been resolved on the race committee boat so that more frequent posts will be possible today.

Due to the sea conditions, we are unable to accurately identify all of the boats by number as they round the windward and leeward marks. The next post will be when all boats have finished and the scoring is complete. They are now on the second windward leg.

There are widely spaced swells coming in from the southeast and wind driven waves coming in from the northeast creating an interesting and challenging sea condition. The PRO has announced that the 'AP' will be lowered on the committee boat at 1229 and the warning for race 3 will be at 1230. It is expected that the boats will sail course 4.

Good morning. This is day 2 of the Audi Melges 32 World Championship. The 'AP' has been hoisted ashore due to the wind conditions in the racing area. Members of the race committee and the organizing authority have gone to the race area in a service boat to evaluate the conditions. We expect to get an updated report shortly.

Good morning. This is day one of the Audi Melges 32 World Championship. The race committee is proceeding to the starting area expecting to sound the first warning signal at the scheduled time of 1200. The weather forecast today is for easterly winds at approximately 12 to 14 knots. Rain later in the day is also in the forecast. It is expected that there will be two races sailed today.

The Melges 32 World Championship 2009 will run from 21st - 27th September. Racing will begin on 23rd September.
